Marcelo is an international business executive and advisor with over 30 years of experience, driven by a passion for connecting Australia and Latin America. As Principal of Colstoun Group, a boutique advisory firm, he empowers Latin American companies to seamlessly enter the Australian market and guides Australian exporters, service providers, and investors in tapping into the vast potential of Latin America.

His expertise is rooted in diverse roles, including serving as Chile's Senior Trade Commissioner in New York and Australia & New Zealand. From 2018 to 2023, as CEO of the Australia Latin America Business Council (ALABC), Marcelo made a transformative impact. He led a remarkable increase in ALABC's membership, forged strategic partnerships, and fostered enduring relationships with key players across both regions, ensuring the council's long-term sustainability.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Marcelo is committed to sharing his expertise. He actively engages on LinkedIn, offering valuable insights into Latin American business culture and opportunities. Marcelo holds a BSc. in Business Administration (Commercial Engineer), majoring in Business Management Science and Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, Chile, and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Trade Negotiations and Export Development from the Pontifical Catholic University of Santiago.
