Jaqueline Gil

Jaqueline Gil was appointed Director of International Marketing, Business, and Sustainability at the Brazilian Tourism Board in January 2023. She has over 20 years of experience in Brazil and abroad in tourism and international business policies and strategies. Her studies and career have taken her to countries such as Australia, the United States, Spain, France, New Zealand, and South Africa, where she has worked with both public agencies and the private sector.
In New Zealand, she served for 7 years as Senior Policy Advisor at MFAT/the NZ Embassy in Brazil, contributing to advancing the high-level bilateral relationship. She was involved in the planning and local coordination of the 2013 official visit of the NZ Prime Minister to Brazil, the opening of the Tourism NZ office in Latin America, the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, and the negotiation of the BR-NZ film co-production agreement.
Jaqueline holds a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism from the Federal University of Paraná (Brazil), a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Brasília (UnB), a Master’s degree in International Marketing from the University of Alicante (Spain), and is currently a PhD candidate at the Sustainable Development Center at UnB.
