Beni Iachan serves as Business Development Manager at New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE) for Mercosur in São Paulo, where he is responsible for the areas of Resources, Energy, Defence, and Security. Previously, he worked for over 15 years in the private sector as an International Business Manager, primarily focusing on B2B and B2G negotiations in over 45 countries.

He graduated in International Relations and holds MBAs in Foreign Trade from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and in ESG from IBMEC. Beni is a carioca (born in the city of Rio de Janeiro) and has lived in São Paulo with his wife and their little mutt, Madiba, since 2022. He is a sports fan, a dedicated Botafogo supporter, and speaks Portuguese, English, French, and Spanish (although he has also studied Mandarin, German, and Italian). His motto is: “Don’t promise when you are happy, don’t reply when you are angry, and don’t decide when you are sad.”
