Corporate Liaison Advisor
Barbara has extensive experience in corporate liaison, marketing, and fundraising, with over 30 years of expertise and a network spanning 45 countries. Fluent in five languages—Dutch, English, Portuguese, German, and French—she has developed exceptional communication and international business skills throughout her career.
During her tenure in Brazil, Barbara spearheaded partnerships and corporate sponsorships and successfully introduced Red Bull into hotel chains, airlines, and government agencies. She established a key relationship between the Dutch organization Regionaal Onderwijs Centrum and the local government in Salvador, Bahia. Additionally, Barbara collaborated with EO Dutch National TV to enter the Brazilian market through private and government partnerships. Notably, she worked alongside São Paulo's Tourism Department to launch Brazil's largest Flower Shopping Centre.
In New Zealand, Barbara has made significant contributions to Westlake Boys High School, establishing its constitution and serving as Chairperson of the Parents and Teachers Association. She also served as Chairperson of the Parents Forum at Westlake Girls High School. Currently, she acts as a Business Liaison, bridging the school with New Zealand’s corporate landscape.
Barbara is passionate about volunteer work and has dedicated her time to various organizations, including the NZ Neighbourhood Support Committee, Dutch Business Association Committee, and serving on the Board of Volleyball North Harbour. She resides in Auckland with her husband, and they take pride in their four incredible adult children.
