Jeff’s career spans both business and academia, focusing on start-up innovation, business development, and financial management. His international business and investment experience influence his research, which focuses on building financial capability and improving investor education.

Jeff has held several directorship and chair positions, including with the Westpac Fin Ed Centre, Sir Peter Blake MERC, Rotary Auckland, and the CFA Society NZ. He is now a CFA Fellow and actively engaged in New Zealand’s financial services sector.

Jeff and his wife Loren have two mostly grown children, Nathan (24) and Izzy (27). In his spare time, he enjoys boating, baking, and public speaking.
